Check tread depth at regular
intervals.
Tyres should be replaced at a tread
depth of 1.6 mm Tread Wear
Indicator.
The legally permissible minimum
tread depth (1.6 mm) has been
reached when the tread has worn
down as far as one of the tread wear
indicators (TWI). Their position is
indicated by markings on the
sidewall.
If there is more wear at the front than
at the rear, swap round front wheels
and rear wheels. Ensure that the
direction of rotation of the wheels is
the same as before.
Tyres age, even if they are not used.
We recommend tyre replacement
every 6 years.

Different forces in front and rear tyres
make them wear differently. This
wear can cause loss of vehicle
stability.
To avoid this, the owner has to do a
tyre rotation every 15,000 km. The
tyre rotation must be performed as it
is shown in the image.
When an inspection by Chevrolet
dealers is performed, the owner will
receive a complete report of the tyres
condition.

■ Due to ageing, the tyre rubber
gets deteriorated. This is also
valid for the spare tyre even if it
was not used.
■ Tyre ageing depends on many
conditions of use, including
temperature, load conditions
and also tyre inflation pressure.
