Do not drive with the liftgate open
or ajar, e.g. when transporting
bulky objects, as toxic exhaust
gases could enter the vehicle.

Before opening the liftgate, check
for overhead obstructions, such as
a garage door in order to avoid
damage to the liftgate. Always
check the moving area above and
behind the liftgate.
NNoottee
The installation of certain heavy
accessories onto the liftgate may
affect its ability to remain open.
After unlocking, press the touchpad
below the handle and open the
liftgate.

First remove the cap located in the
inside portion of the liftgate, as shown
in the image below.
Using an appropriate screwdriver,
access the latch and rotate it
counterclockwise.
