Height adjustment (If available)
1. Pull belt out slightly.
2. Press button.
3. Adjust height and engage.
Adjust the height so that the belt lies
across the shoulder. It must not lie
across the neck or upper arm.
9 Warning
Do not adjust the seat belt height
while driving.
Lap belt
Lap belt on the rear centre seat
The seat belt for the rear centre seat
is constructed as a lap belt. For
adjustment of length, press the upper
side of the cover of the latch plate and
tighten or loosen the belt.
Airbag system
The airbag system consists of a
number of individual systems.
When triggered, the airbags inflate
within milliseconds. They also deflate
so quickly that it is often unnoticeable
during the collision.
9 Warning
If handled improperly, the airbag
systems can be triggered in an
explosive manner.
The driver should sit back as far as
possible while still maintaining
control of the vehicle. If you are
sitting too close to the airbag, it
can cause death or serious injury
when it inflates.
For maximum safety protection in
all types of crashes, all occupants
including the driver should always
wear their seat belts to minimise
the risk of severe injury or death in
