Why is my Chicago Electric Drill overheating?
- RRichard McbrideJul 31, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Drill overheats, it might be due to several reasons. You might be forcing the tool to work too fast – allow it to work at its own pace. Check if the accessory is misaligned and correct it to the fence and/or table alignment. Ensure cutting accessories are sharp, and replace them if damaged. Also, the motor housing vents might be blocked. In that case, wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and a NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator while blowing dust out of the motor using compressed air.
