Overview

The NXM Series Moulded-Case Circuit-Breaker is a device designed for electrical protection and control in various applications. This user manual provides essential information regarding its installation, operation, and maintenance, adhering to the Standard: IEC/EN 60947-2.

Safety Warnings

Before any installation or operation, it is crucial to observe several safety warnings to prevent accidents and ensure proper functioning. The device should not be installed in damp, condensed-phase environments or where flammable and explosive gases are present. Operation with wet hands is strictly prohibited. Touching conductive parts of the product while it is operating is forbidden. When the product is being installed or maintained, the power must be switched off. The product must not be installed in places where gas medium can corrode metal and damage insulation. To avoid dangerous accidents, the installation and fixation of the product must be carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the user instructions.

Use Information

The NXM Series circuit breaker is designed for an ambient temperature range of -5 °C to +40 °C. For temperatures outside the range of -35 °C to +70 °C, consultation with the manufacturer is required. If the altitude exceeds 2000m, the manufacturer should be consulted. The product sample for inverse time lag, temperature compensation curve, and altitude derating curve of the product should be consulted. The pollution degree is degree 3, and the main circuit installation category is III. The degrees of protection provided by the enclosure are IP30 (except wiring terminals). The rated insulation voltage Ui is 800V (NXM-63/160/125/250) and 1000V (NXM-400/630/800/1000/1250/1600).

Inspection and Test

Before installation, a thorough inspection and test are recommended. The manual provides a table detailing the screw, nut, flat gasket, spring washer, and PCS (2P, 3P, 4P) specifications for various NXM models, including NXM-63, NXM-125, NXM-160, NXM-250, NXM-400, NXM-630, NXM-800, NXM-1000, NXM-1250, and NXM-1600. This ensures that all components are correct and in good condition. During this stage, it is important to determine product technical parameters and ensure that only qualified and professional technicians are allowed for installation, operation, and maintenance.

The manual also includes figures illustrating the minimum installation distance for various NXM models, ensuring adequate space for operation and heat dissipation. Furthermore, it details a 5-step test process: Retripping, Making (x2), Breaking, and Tripping, which are crucial for verifying the circuit breaker's functionality before full deployment.
