Overview

This document describes the ChoiceMMed Infrared Thermometer (CFT-308), a reusable, no-touch thermometer designed for intermittent determination of human body temperature using the forehead as the measurement site. It is suitable for use by consumers in a household environment and by healthcare providers for people of all ages.

Function Description:

The CFT-308 is an infrared thermometer that measures body temperature without physical contact. It offers two modes: human body temperature and object/room temperature, which are easily switchable. The device is equipped with a fever indicating system that uses corresponding face expressions and beeps to alert the user to temperature status. It also features an age temperature distinction, where the definition of fever changes based on the selected age range (newborns, children, adults), resulting in different face expressions and beeps. The thermometer can store up to 20 sets of readings (10 for human temperature, 10 for object temperature) for tracking temperature changes. It is designed for quick measurements, providing an instant reading in approximately 1 second. The device can also transmit measurements via Bluetooth (optional).

  • Multi-Mode Thermometer: Supports human body temperature and object/room temperature measurement.
  • Best Thermometer for Baby: Provides 1-second fast measurement without waking the baby.
  • Fever Indicating System: Alerts with face expressions and beeps for different temperature statuses (normal, fever, high fever) based on age range.
    • Normal Temperature Range (human temperature mode): One beep and smile face icon.
    • Fever Temperature Range (human temperature mode): Four beeps and upset face icon.
  • Convenient Memory Function: Stores 10 sets of readings for human body temperature and 10 sets for object temperature, allowing users to track changes.
  • Safe and Hygienic: No-touch measurement minimizes germ spreading.
  • Age Temperature Distinction: Allows selection of age ranges (0-3 months, 3-36 months, 36+ months) to apply age-appropriate fever definitions. The default age range is "36+ months".
  • Temperature Scale Change: Easily switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) by long-pressing the power button.
  • Battery Indication: Displays remaining battery capacity. A flashing low battery warning symbol indicates low voltage, but the device can still work until 0% left.
  • Automatic Power Off: The thermometer automatically shuts off after 30 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery. It can also be manually turned off by long-pressing the power button for approximately 4 seconds.
  • Measurement Preparation Guidelines:
    • Individuals should be indoors for 30 minutes before measurement.
    • Avoid drinking, eating, or physical activity before/during measurement.
