6 Cut the shifter cables with a minimum 10 mm overlap and mount the
wire end caps.
Important notes regarding maintenance:
If necessary, especially after a short run-in phase of the Shift:R, repeat step 5.
Doing so compensates the initial settling of the cables and end caps. Therefore
always pay attention to decient shifting capacity as well as potential delay
of shifting activation. These signs indicate the need for a readjustment of the
cable tension. To ensure free movement and thus optimal functionality of the
shiftbox, regularly lubricate the box. This should be conducted if necessary, at
the latest when changing the oil of your Pinion Gearbox (every 5000 km or at
least once per year). Use 5-10 drops of low viscosity oil with maximum SAE10.
Do not use highly viscous lubricants or grease, as those would deteriorate the
free movement of the shiftbox. Cover your disc brake to prevent oil spill.
