Upgrading the Cisco 2821 and Cisco 2851 Fan Unit
Step 2 Remove the three screws that hold the fan unit to the side of the chassis. (See number 1 in Figure 6.)

Step 3 Remove the one screw that holds the fan unit to the front of the chassis. (See number 2 in Figure 6.)
Step 4 Lift the fan unit out of the chassis.
