TIPS FOR OBTAINING ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS
Your blood pressure varies according to your posture, the time of day
and a range of other factors. Ideally, you should measure your blood
pressure in the same posture at the same time every day.

Make sure that your posture is correct.
Sit up straight, take a deep breath and relax.

Place your palm facing up and
keep your fi ngers relaxed.

It is important to have the
cuff level with your heart.
Place a folded towel or similar
under your arm.

To obtain correct measurements
• Do not clench your fi st tightly.
• Do not wrap the wrist cuff too loosely.
• Do not change the position of the
monitor.
• Do not move your body or talk during
measurement
