Safety Regulations
When driving
• Avoid any abrupt starting, excessive traveling speeds and
sudden directional changes.
• Select the driving speed so that sufficient stopping distance
is always available. It must be remembered that the net
stopping distance increases by approximately the square of
the speed and that sharp braking of the Tow Tractor can
cause the drive wheels to slip and the truck to tip over. Brak-
ing on curves further increases the danger of the Tow Trac-
tor tipping due to the tilting moment which occurs.
• Reduce speed before curves and ramps, in narrow pas-
sageways, on wet roads and restricted visibility.
• Always look in the driving direction. No parts of the body
should extend outside the truck.
• Always keep a sufficient distance from other vehicles so as
to be able to stop in time in case of danger.
Safety of people
• Always make sure that there
is nobody within the hazard-
ous area of your Tow Tractor.
Ask these people to leave the
area immediately.
• Do not let other persons ride on the truck, on trailers.
