Product description
Units of measurement
Thescale is preset to display weights in g (grams) but you can select
one of thefollowing four units:
• g (grams)
• ml (millilitres)
• fl:oz (fluid ounces)
• lb:oz (pounds and ounces).
Assembly
Inserting batteries
Thescale requires 2×AAA/LR03 batteries (sold separately).
1. Remove thebattery cover on thebottom of thescale.
2. Insert batteries. Refer to themarkings in thebattery compartment
to ensure correct polarity.
3. Refit thebattery cover.
Operating instructions
Weighing
Weighing solid foodstuffs
1. Place thescale on afirm, level surface.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After ashort delay “0” will be shown on
thedisplay. Thescale is now zeroed and ready for use.
3. If thefood is to be weighed in some kind of container such as
abowl or cup, theempty container should be placed on thescale
first. Then press [ ON/OFF/TARE ].
4. Select theunits of measurement by pressing [ UNIT ] therequired
number of times.
5. Place thefood to be weighed directly onto theplatform or into
thecontainer. Themeasured weight will be shown on thedisplay.
Weighing fluid foodstuffs
Thescale can calculate thevolume of full-fat milk (3%) or water and
display areading in either millilitres (ml) or fluid ounces (fl:oz).
1. Place thescale on afirm, level surface.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After ashort delay “0” will be shown on
thedisplay. Thescale is now zeroed and ready for use.
3. Place acontainer onto thescale. Then press [ ON/OFF/TARE ].
4. Select theMILK/WATER mode by pressing [ UNIT ] therequired
number of times.
5. Carefully pour theliquid to be measured into thecontainer.
Themeasured weight or volume will be shown on thedisplay.
Using thetare feature
1. Place thecontainer, either empty or with contents, onto thescale.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After ashort delay “0” will be shown on
thedisplay. Thescale is now zeroed and ready to measure
thenext ingredient.
3. Add thenext ingredient and read theweight or volume on thedisplay.
4. Repeat theprocedure to add more ingredients to thecontainer.
Overload indicator
If themaximum weight of 5kg is exceeded, “O-Ld” will appear on
thedisplay. Remove thefood from thescale.
Switching off
Thescale can be switched off manually by holding in [ ON/OFF/TARE ]
until thedisplay goes off. If thescale is not used for 60 seconds it will
switch off automatically.
Care and maintenance
• Never expose theproduct to rain, liquids or moisture.
• Remove thebatteries if theproduct is not to be used for along time.
• Use asoft damp cloth to wipe theproduct. Use amild detergent.
Never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not
be disposed of with general household waste. This
applies throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent any
harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed
in for recycling so that thematerial can be disposed of
in aresponsible manner. When recycling your product,
take it to your local collection facility or contact theplace
of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct is
disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.
Troubleshooting
Change thebatteries when thebattery symbol appears on thedisplay.
