Safety
• Note: When hot, thefan should always be lifted by
thehandle to prevent therisk of burns.
• Keep theproduct out of children’s reach.
• Remove thefan from thestove if temperatures exceed 345 °C.
Higher temperatures will damage thefan. Using astovetop
thermometer is recommended for monitoring
thetemperature.
• Never touch thefan while it is in operation, if it needs
moving, use thehandle.
Operation
How the fan works
Thefan is powered using aPeltier element. This element is
several millimetres thick and sits between thebase and upper
fan body. Electricity is created when one side of theelement
is heated whilst theother side is cooled. Voltage increases in
correlation with theincreased temperature difference between
the sides. Therefore, placing thefan base on thehottest spot
possible, without exceeding thebase’s heat range will give
thebest effect (Note: Do not exceed thebase’s max temp
capacity). Also, ensure that there is anample supply of cold
air behind thefan when positioning it to ensure maximum
performance.
Note:
Abi-metallic strip fitted to thebottom of thebase lifts thebase
up when thetemperatures near 345°C. This feature is
designed to prevent thebase from being damaged by too high
atemperature. Thefan base becomes very hot during use. Do
not move thehot fan onto any heat-sensitive surfaces before
ensuring that it has cooled adequately.
Placement
Care and maintenance
• Do not use artificial means to hasten cooling after use (such
as by cooling it with water), allow it cool slowly.
• Always let thefan cool before cleaning it.
• Clean theproduct using alightly moistened cloth. Use only
mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations. If you are unsure how to
proceed, contact your local council.

For optimum effect, place thefan near theback of thestove.
This allows cold air to flow from behind thefan. Do not place
thefan in front of thechimney flue. Doing so will cause hot
air to build up behind thefan and decrease its performance.
Thestovetop temperature may vary, so experiment to find
thebest position. Use theaid of athermometer (stove or other
heat-resistant stove thermometer) to find thebest placement.
