Molokai Kayak Instructions
This easy to use quick reference instruction book is designed to guide you through the assembly process of
your Molokai Kayak even if you are new to kayaking. Although Molokai Kayak is very simple to build, it is
normal for assembly to take slightly longer the first time as you familiarize yourself with the parts, please allow
for this on your first journey. When accustomed to construction, subsequent occasions will be far quicker.
Please read these instructions carefully, we recommend these instructions be read through before starting.

Molokai Kayak Assembly

Assemble Base Rod and Side Rods

Place base skin flat, then assemble base rod and side rods using elastic cords.

Insert Side Rods into Flaps

Insert side rods into flaps, ensuring they are parallel to the ground for proper fit.

Connect Corner Rods to Base Rod

Insert corner rods into both ends of the base rod, ensuring a secure connection.

Position Base Rod Assembly in Bottom Skin

Place the assembled base rod and corner rods into the center of the bottom skin.

Insert Cross Ribs

Prepare Base Rod for Cross Ribs

Ensure plastic clips face upwards on the base rod and rubber bands are spaced for cross ribs.

Connect Cross Ribs to Frame

Connect cross ribs to side rods and base rod, ensuring correct orientation for locking.

Complete Kayak Frame Assembly

Install Main Cross Ribs

Install cross rib (A) at the center, then (B1) and (B2). Ensure correct parts are used.

Insert Remaining Cross Ribs

Insert final cross ribs (C) and (D), noting increased effort as the frame straightens.

Inflate Air Tubes and Attach Arches

Inflate side air tubes one at a time and attach arches securely with Velcro.

Secure Top Skin

Place top skin over frame ends and secure all edges with Velcro.

Molokai Kayak Disassembly

Remove Side Rods

Open flaps, push side rods while keeping channels straight to remove them.

Roll Up Bottom Skin

Roll up the bottom skin from the end opposite the air valves to save space.

Frame and Skin Properties

Kayak has strong aluminum frame and UV-resistant PVC skin, impervious to marine environment.

Storage Recommendations

Store kayak out of direct sunlight to minimize potential fading of the skin.

Skin Puncture Repair
