Overview

This document describes the Click 1700W Ceramic Fan Heater with Oscillation, model PTC15V2. It is an indoor heating appliance designed for domestic use.

Function Description:

The Click 1700W Ceramic Fan Heater is designed to provide warmth in indoor living spaces. It utilizes ceramic heating elements and features a fan-only mode for air circulation without heat. The heater also includes an oscillation function to distribute warm air more evenly across a room. It is a portable appliance, requiring no installation.

Usage Features:

  • Control Panel: Located at the top of the unit, it includes an indicator light, a Thermostat Dial, and a Function Control Dial.
  • Function Control Dial Settings:
    • 0: OFF
    • S: Fan only
    • 1: Low heat
    • 2: High heat (1700W)
  • Thermostat Control: Allows users to set and maintain a desired room temperature. The thermostat knob can be rotated counter-clockwise to lower the temperature or clockwise to raise it. The heater will cycle on and off automatically to maintain the set temperature.
  • Fan-Only Mode: The heater can operate as a fan without generating heat by setting the Function Control Dial to the S position and turning the thermostat knob fully clockwise for continuous fan operation.
  • Oscillation Control: An ON/OFF switch located at the base of the appliance enables or disables the oscillation feature, allowing the heater to rotate and distribute air over a wider area.
  • Safety Features:
    • Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the heater or fan is on.
    • Tip-Over Safety Switch: Automatically turns off the heater if it is knocked over or not in an upright position. Users should ensure the heater is upright and inspect for damage before restarting.
    • Overheat Protection Mechanism: Automatically shuts off the heater in case of overheating. If triggered, the heater should be unplugged, allowed to cool, and any obstructions (dust, fluff) removed from air vents and grilles before restarting.
  • First Use: Upon initial use, the heater may emit a small amount of smoke and odour due to a thin film of grease on the heating coils. This is normal and temporary, requiring sufficient ventilation. It is recommended not to use the heater around birds or small pets during this initial phase until the smoke and odour dissipate.
  • Placement: Must be placed on a firm, level, dry, and heat-resistant surface, in an upright position. Avoid soft surfaces like beds or long pile carpets. Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5m from the front and 0.5m from the back of the appliance to walls, fixtures, and other objects to prevent fire risk.
  • Electrical Connection: Always plug into a separate wall outlet socket. Do not use power boards, adaptors, or extension cords, as these can overheat and pose a fire risk. The mains socket must be easily accessible for emergency disconnection.
  • Restrictions:
    • For domestic use only; not suitable for commercial, industrial, or trade use.
    • Not for drying clothes, shoes, pipes, or other items.
    • Not for outdoor use or on wet surfaces.
    • Not intended for use at altitudes exceeding 2000m.
    • Not for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or similar indoor locations where it may be exposed to water.
    • Do not insert fingers or objects into ventilation or exhaust openings.
    • Do not operate with an external timer, program switch, or any other automatic operation device.
    • Do not cover the heater in any manner to avoid overheating and fire risk.
    • Close supervision is required when used by or near children or vulnerable persons.
    • Do not leave unattended during use; always unplug when not in use.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always switch off, unplug, and allow the heater to cool before cleaning.
    • Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and fluff from around the grilles.
    • Wipe the exterior with a damp (not wet) cloth to remove dust and dirt. Allow to dry thoroughly before reconnecting to power.
    • Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaning powders, petrol, or furniture polish.
    • Do not immerse the cord, plug, or heater in water or other liquids.
  • Storage: If not in use for an extended period, unplug the heater and store it in its original carton (or covered with material/plastic bag) in a cool, dry place, out of children's reach.
  • Servicing: The heater contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair it yourself. Any repairs or power cord replacements must be carried out by a qualified technician or service agent. In case of malfunction, disconnect the plug and contact after-sales support.
