  A blank handset display screen on your Club Car Golf Cars can stem from several causes: a disconnected handset cord or adapter, loose or corroded vehicle battery terminals, improperly wired vehicle batteries, failed vehicle batteries, or batteries that are not fully charged. Other potential causes include a failed handset cord or adapter, a failed CDT port, a contrast setting that is too light, the controller being in power-down mode (vehicle unused and not charged for 72 hours), the charger having been connected and charging for more than 10 minutes, loose vehicle wire harness connections, a speed controller malfunction, or a failed handset.

  If the handset display screen is blank, there might be several reasons. First, check if the handset cord and/or adapter is disconnected. Another reason might be that the controller is in power-down mode because the vehicle has been unused and not charged for 72 hours; in this case, connect the charger or drive the vehicle for a short distance and reconnect the handset to the vehicle. If the charger has been connected and charging for more than 10 minutes, disconnect it, wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect it. If the contrast setting is too light, see Backlight under the HHP Settings menu. As a last resort, replace the handset.
