  If the CMi Tiller motor isn't starting, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the plug has electricity by checking the line and fuse. A defective cable could also be the culprit, so inspect it thoroughly. The switch or switch/plug block might be faulty and require inspection. Disconnected connections to the motor or capacitor can also prevent starting, in that case have the machine checked by a customer service center. If the tiller is standing in high grass, try starting it on shorter grass or adjusting the aeration height. Lastly, a clogged aerator housing can obstruct the tine roller; clean the housing to allow unobstructed spinning.
