INSTRUCTIONS FOR COAST EAL17
EMERGENCY AREA LANTERN:
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
The EAL17 uses four D alkaline batteries located in the base of
the lantern. To access the battery compartment, twist the end cap
cou nter clo ckwi se until it ’s f ully remo ved. Onc e the bat ter y compa rtme nt is
revealed, insert the batteries in the direction indicated inside the
lantern.
Reseal the battery compartment by twisting the end cap clockwise until
you feel it lock into place, and it is unable to twist any further. Never
mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries before storing lantern for
extended periods of non-use.
WHITE & RED LED LIGHT OPERATION:
To turn on the light, press the power switch on the front of the lantern
to enter “low” white mode. Pressing the same button a second time will
switch the lantern to “high” white mode.
A third depression of the button will turn the lantern into “solid” red
mode. A fourth depression of the button will turn the lantern into “flash-
ing” red mode. To turn off the lantern, press the power switch a fifth
and final time.
MAINTENANCE:
Wipe the external body with a cloth moistened with water or isopropyl
alcohol. Allow to dry before use. Do not submerge.

注意事項：
電池の取り付け：
EAL17 では、4本の単1形アルカリ乾電池を使用します。電池
はランタンの底面に挿入します。電池室を開くには、エンド
キャップが完全に取り外せるまで、反時計回りに回します。
エンドキャップを取り外して、電池室が見えたら、ランタン
の内側に印された方向に電池を挿入します。
所定の位置に収まり、これ以上回せないと感じるまでエンド
キャップを時計回りに回して電池室を再度閉じます。古い電
池と新しい電池を混ぜて使わないでください。ランタンを長
期間使用しない場合は、保管する前に電池を取り外してく
ださい。
白色 LED と赤色 LED の操作：
白色 LED を ON にするには、ランタンの前側にある電源スイッ
チを押します。最初は、「低」輝度モードなります。間を置
かずにスイッチをもう一度押す（計2度目）と、「高」輝度
モードに切り替わります。
間を置かずにスイッチをもう一度押す（計3度目）と、赤色
LED の「ソリッド」モードに切り替わります。間を置かずにス
イッチをもう一度押す（計4度目）と、赤色 LED の「点滅」
モードに切り替わります。ランタンを OFF にするには、電源
スイッチをもう一度押します（計5回目でこれが最後）。
メンテナンス：
水またはイソプロピルアルコールで湿らせた布で、本体の外
部を拭いてください。乾くまでは使用を控えてください。
絶対に水に浸けないでください。
