Coates Spa Heaters are intended for use on spas or hot tubs having a forced water circulation system.
The heater should be securely mounted to a smooth, flat surface, with minimum clearances for service.
The electrical installation must be in accordance with Article 680 of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Features a temperature controller (70-104°F), high temperature limit switch (118°F), and flow switch.
Check all cautions and warnings before operating or performing maintenance on the heaters.
Ensure proper grounding, fill with water, start pump, apply power, and set temperature control.
Turn off electrical power at the heater supply circuit breaker before stopping the circulating pump.
Keep the heater clean. Troubleshoot high temperature limit trips and leaks promptly.
Steps from power supply to element heating: breaker on, pressure switch closes, flow light, contactors, element light.
Diagnose and resolve common problems like 'No Heat', 'Insufficient Flow', 'High Limit Reset Trips', and 'Water Temp Greater than setpoint'.
