The Coccolle Velsa is an i-Size standard car seat designed for children from birth up to 36 kg. It is suitable for children with a height ranging from 40 cm to 150 cm. This car seat is designed to provide maximum protection and comfort for your child, and it is essential to read the entire manual carefully and follow all instructions for correct installation and use. Incorrect installation of the child restraint system may cause serious injury, and the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for the child's safety if instructions are not followed.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • ECE R129/03 Approval: The Coccolle Velsa car seat is approved according to the UN Regulation No. 129, which is the i-Size standard for enhanced child restraint systems.
  • Height and Weight Range:
    • Rear-facing (40-105 cm): Suitable for children from 40 cm up to 105 cm in height and weighing up to 18 kg. This mode is recommended for as long as possible.
    • Forward-facing (100-150 cm): Suitable for children from 100 cm up to 150 cm in height and weighing up to 36 kg. This mode uses the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
  • Installation: The car seat is designed for installation using the ISOFIX system and a top tether for enhanced stability in the rear-facing mode (40-105 cm). For the forward-facing mode (100-150 cm), it is installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
  • Rotation: The car seat features a 360° rotation function, allowing for easy placement and removal of the child, as well as switching between rear-facing and forward-facing positions without reinstalling the base.
  • Recline Positions: The seat offers multiple recline positions to ensure comfort for the child, both in rear-facing and forward-facing modes. There are 4 recline positions in rear-facing mode (40-105 cm) and 4 recline positions in forward-facing mode (100-150 cm).
  • Headrest Adjustment: The headrest is adjustable to multiple height positions to accommodate the child's growth.
  • Harness System: A 5-point safety harness is used for children in the 40-105 cm height range.
  • Side Protection System (SPS): The car seat incorporates a Side Protection System to enhance safety in the event of a side impact.
  • Infant Pillow: An infant pillow is included for newborns (40-75 cm) to provide additional support and comfort. This pillow must be used for children below 75 cm in height.
  • Durability: The product is designed for an intensive use of approximately 10 years.

Usage Features:

  • Installation in Vehicle:
    • Rear-facing (40-105 cm):
      1. Ensure the car seat is in the rear-facing position.
      2. Extend the ISOFIX connectors and attach them to the vehicle's ISOFIX anchors until you hear a "click" and the indicators turn green.
      3. Adjust the support leg to the floor of the vehicle until it is stable.
      4. Attach the top tether to the designated anchor point in the vehicle and tighten it securely.
      5. Ensure all indicators are green and the seat is firmly installed.
    • Forward-facing (100-150 cm):
      1. Remove the 5-point harness system and store it according to the instructions.
      2. Position the child in the car seat.
      3. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated guides on the car seat and buckle it.
      4. Ensure the lap belt is low over the child's hips and the shoulder belt rests across the child's shoulder, not their neck.
  • Child Placement and Securing:
    • For children 40-105 cm, place the child in the seat, ensuring their back is flat against the backrest. Fasten the 5-point harness, making sure it is snug but not too tight. The harness straps should be at or slightly below the child's shoulders.
    • For children 100-150 cm, ensure the vehicle's 3-point seat belt is correctly positioned across the child's body.
  • Recline Adjustment: The recline handle is located under the seat shell. Pull it to adjust the backrest angle.
  • Headrest Adjustment: The headrest can be adjusted by squeezing the handle at the top of the headrest and moving it up or down.
  • Rotation Function: To rotate the seat, press the rotation button and turn the seat to the desired position (360°).
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Do not use the seat in the forward-facing position with children under 100 cm in height.
    • Keep the child restraint system away from corrosive liquids, paints, or solvents that could damage the product.
    • Do not use the car seat on an active frontal airbag.
    • Take regular breaks during long journeys (every 2 hours) to allow the child to stretch and move.
    • Never leave the child unattended in the car seat.
    • Do not modify the product or add any accessories or complements not approved by the manufacturer.
    • Do not expose the car seat to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as this can cause the seat to overheat and potentially burn the child.
    • Do not transport baggage or other objects near the car seat that could cause injury in an accident.

    • The fabric cover can be removed and machine washed at a short delicate cycle (30°C).
