14. Osscora contra-angle handpiece
Hygienic maintenance
Follow your country-specific directives, standards and
guidelines for cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation.
– You can process the contra-angle handpiece manually
or automatically.
– Wear protective clothing.
– Remove the rotary instrument.
– Remove the contra-angle handpiece from the motor.
– Clean and disinfect the disassembled contra-angle
handpiece immediately after every treatment, to
flush out any liquid residues (such as blood, etc.) and
to prevent settling on the internal parts.
– Sterilise the contra-angle handpiece following manual
or automatic cleaning, disinfection and lubrication.
Pre-disinfection
– If heavily soiled: Clean first with disinfectant cloths.
Only use disinfectants that have no protein-fixing
effects.
