ASCENT RATE BAR GRAPH: The Ascent Rate bar graph and alarms are active in
both the Subsurface Mode and Decompression Mode when the depth is below 3
metres. The five-segment bar graph is used to display the diver's rate of ascent. The
factory default for maximum ascent rate is 18 mpm. With this setting, no bars will
illuminate if a diver is ascending at a rate less than 3 mpm.
If the diver has an ascent rate of more than 18 mpm, the entire Ascent Rate Bar Graph
will flash, and audible alarm will sound once per second, and the WARNING legend will
illuminate. Each segment indicates an additional 3 mpm of Ascent Rate.
Via the Analyst
®
PC Interface, the maximum Ascent Rates alarms can be selected from 6
to 18 metres per minute in one-metre increments. Another Analyst
®
selection pertains to
the bar graph itself. The two selections given are either FIXED or PROPORTIONAL.
