IP5000 Firmware
The purpose of this document is to guide you through the one-time process
of migrating an IP5000 speakerphone running version 1 rmware to the new
version 2 rmware.
NOTE: Once this upgrade process has been completed, you WILL NOT be
able to downgrade back to version 1.
Items to consider before upgrading:
1 - The unit will be completely wiped after the upgrade and must be re-programmed.
2 - The unit will return to DHCP upon completion.
3 - Constant power must be provided to the unit via 12-24V AC or DC.
a - If providing PoE Power to the unit solely, please bring into the building and
provide AC or DC power to perform the migration.
b - After the Migration File runs, the unit must be unpowered for 12 seconds and then
it can be powered back up.
4 - The migration le must be downloaded from the codeblue.com website or emailed to
you.
5 - After the migration, please download and use the latest IP5000 rmware located on
the Downloads page of our website.
Process Overview
To migrate the IP5000 hardware to the new rmware, you will need a network connection to
the IP5000 unit an AC or DC power source.
The serial number and MAC address will be preserved during the migration process,
however, the contents of the le system - including all settings, scripts and recordings - will
be lost and must be restored after the new rmware is loaded.
The migration process only needs to be performed once, after which rmware updates can
be performed like normal. After migration, rmware versions prior to 2.0.x can no longer be
used.
The migration will be performed by an installation utility, which is a .bin le that is uploaded
like normal rmware using the “Upgrade Firmware” page of the web interface.
When the IP5000 reboots during the upgrade process, the utility will install the new
bootloader and IP5000 rmware and will convert the FLASH chip to “power-of-2” mode.
Once installation is complete, the utility will blink the front panel lights (green for success,
