The fuel filter might be clogged, requiring cleaning or replacement. The spark plug(s) could be fouled or of the incorrect type, so inspect, clean, or replace them. Also, check if the spark plug cap(s) are fitted incorrectly and refit them if needed. Damaged or poorly connected ignition wiring can also be the issue; check for wear or breaks, tighten loose connections, and replace worn or broken wires. Ensure the engine stop switch lanyard is attached.

Check the ignition wiring for any damage or poor connections, and repair as needed. Verify that you are using the specified engine oil. Also, ensure the air vent screw on the fuel tank is open, the fuel joint connection is correct, the choke knob is not pulled out, and the motor angle is at the normal operating position.
