Overview

This document is an instruction manual for dishwashing machines, specifically covering models AC2E, AC2E P5, AC2E P6, and AC2E P9. It provides comprehensive information for both the user and service personnel regarding installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description:

The machine is designed for washing dishes, such as plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, and trays. It operates through a series of stages including prewash, wash, and ecorinse. The system can be configured with various optional features to enhance its functionality, such as a dryer, steam condenser, heat recovery unit, drain water HRU, sanitizing system, autotimer, rinse booster pump, splash hood (with or without collar or vent duct), and a corner version. Heating can be either electric or steam-based. The autotimer function automatically pauses operation if no racks are introduced and restarts when a rack is placed in the machine.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Protection Degree: IPX4, meaning it should not be washed with water jets.
  • Noise Level: The equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level (LeqA) at working places (1.6 m height) is provided for place 1, place 2, and place 3. The peak acoustic pressure level is well below 130 dB(A).
  • Electrical Supply: The machine requires an electrical supply voltage that corresponds to the data plate. It must be isolated via a wall-mounted three-pole circuit breaker with full disconnection capabilities under overvoltage category III conditions. A residual current circuit breaker Type A, 400V, Id=0.03A is recommended. The supply cable section must not be inferior to that indicated in the "Technical data sheet," and a flexible cable with protective covering (at least type H07RN-F) should be used.
  • Water Supply (Hot and Cold): Dynamic pressure must be between 2 bar (200 kPa) and 4 bar (400 kPa). Incoming water hardness should not exceed 5/7°Clarke. Hot water supply temperature should be 55°C-0+10°C.
  • Steam Supply (for steam heated machines): Minimum pressure of 0.5 bar (50 kPa-110.8°C) and maximum pressure of 1.5 bar (150 kPa-127°C), potentially up to 3 bar (300 kPa - 143°C) if specifically requested. The steam must be saturated and dry.
  • Water Drain: A floor drain with a waste trap is required. Materials used must withstand 70°C.
  • Temperatures:
    • Water supply temperature probe (1): 55°C
    • Prewash temperature probe (2): 40-45°C
    • Wash temperatures probes (3,4,5,6): 55-60°C
    • Rinse temperature probe (7): 80-85°C
  • Maximum Allowable Absorption: 1A for detergent and rinse aid dispensers.
  • Short Circuit Current of the Machine (Icc): 6kA.

Usage Features:

  • Switching On: Rotate the main switch "Q2" to position "I". Lamp "H01" illuminates. Close all doors. Wait for lamp "H02" to indicate the tank is full. Wait for wash tank temperature to reach 55/60°C.
  • Temperature Display: Pressing "SELECT" cycles through temperature probes for water supply, prewash, wash (multiple probes), and rinse.
  • Machine Speed Selection: Use main switch "Q2" for heavily soiled dishes (position I), lightly soiled items (position II), or automatic speed change with APRS (position II, if required).
  • Washing Process: Start/stop with switch "S1". Lamp "H03" indicates pump overheating.
  • Autotimer: Activated by switch "SAT"; lamp "HAT" illuminates. Automatically stops operation if no racks are present and restarts when a rack is introduced.
  • Emergency Stop: Push the mushroom-shaped emergency button "S3" to stop all motors.
  • EOR Function (Option): Manual machine override in case of control board failure. Turn key-switch to position 1.
  • Flow Meter (Optional): Displays total and partial water consumption.
  • HPS EASY / HPS EASY PLUS (Optional with USB): Provides alarms and counters for ON time, wash/rinse time, energy, and water consumption. Displays various parameters like water consumption, energy consumption, ON time, rinse time, wash time, and temperature alarms.
  • Loading: Remove food leftovers, pre-soak cutlery/dishes if needed, place items in baskets with plates facing the exit.
  • Safety Devices: Micro limit switch SS1 stops the conveyor at the exit table. Door micro switches (SS2...SS20) interrupt pumps, motor reduction gear, and rinse solenoid valve if doors are open. Slip clutch controls mechanical torque to prevent jamming and overloading.

Maintenance Features:

  • After Washing Session: Press "S1", turn "Q2" to "O", isolate electrical supply, close water/steam valves, lift inspection doors, remove overflow pipe to empty tanks, clean anti-splash curtains and filters, check/clean wash and rinse nozzles, clean external surface with a damp cloth (no water jets or abrasive detergents), reassemble all devices correctly, and keep doors open when not in use.
  • Regular Checks: Regularly check and clean nozzles.
  • Hygienic Care: Essential to use sanitizing detergent/disinfectant. Run a short washing cycle without load or use the sanitizing cycle after cleaning.
  • Lime Scale Removal: Periodic descaling is recommended for hard water areas.
  • Prolonged Standstill: For standstills of several weeks, empty, refill, and run with clean water. For very long standstills, lubricate stainless steel surfaces with Vaseline oil.
  • Self Cleaning (Optional): At least once a week, use a specific detergent/disinfectant. Put "Q2" to "O", empty tanks, remove curtains, close inspection doors, and press "S26". Lamp "H26" illuminates during the cycle.
  • Motor Protection: Motors are protected by overload relays (QF1, QF2...). Lamp "H03" indicates activation.
  • Element Protection: Elements are protected by fuses (FE3...) or automatics (QFE10). Tank elements are protected by pressure switches against dry operation. Boiler and dryer elements have manually resettable safety thermostats.
  • Torque Limiter Adjustment: Located on the drive shaft. To adjust: remove yellow protection cap, load bar guide with full racks (up to 1m from limit-switch), start washing, unscrew ring with special tool until slipping occurs, then restore cap. Clockwise tightens, counterclockwise loosens.
  • Machine Dismantling: At end of life, separate components (metal, electrical, plastic, rubber) according to local regulations.
