Overview

The COMMAX DRC-nUC/RF1 is a door station designed for smart homes and security systems, offering communication and access control functionalities. It serves as a master unit capable of calling and communicating with multiple house units.

Function Description:

The primary function of the DRC-nUC/RF1 is to facilitate communication between visitors at the door and residents inside the house. When a visitor presses a call button on the door station, it initiates a call to the corresponding household phone or video phone. Residents can then answer the call and engage in two-way communication (duplex hands-free). The device also supports 3-way communication if another user activates their monitor while a conversation is ongoing with the door camera user.

A key feature of this door station is its integrated RF card key reader, which allows for convenient door access. Users can tag a registered RF card key to the designated "CARD" point on the device to open the door. The device includes a lighting sensor and white LED lights to illuminate the name label, ensuring visibility in various lighting conditions.

Maintenance Features:

  • Card Management: The system allows for comprehensive management of RF card keys.
    • Up to 2,046 door release cards can be registered.
    • Individual cards can be deleted.
    • All registered cards can be deleted simultaneously.
    • A new master card registration will overwrite previous master card information.
  • Error Handling: The device provides auditory feedback (beep sound for 1.5 seconds) if the card registration memory is exceeded.
  • Safety Precautions: Users are advised to carefully read the user's guide, especially the precautions for safety, and follow instructions precisely to prevent accidents from abnormal operation. Only mini-type RF cards from COMMAX should be used. It is crucial not to turn off the device until all card deletion processes are completed to avoid data corruption.
