REM
message
The
REMark
is
just
a
note
to
whoever
is
reading a
LIST
of
the
program.
It
may
explain
a
section
of
the
program,
give
information
about
the
author,
etc.
REM
statements
in
no
way
affect
the
operation
of
the
program, except
to
add
to
its
length
(and
therefore
slow
it
down).
The
word
REM
may
be
followed
by
any
text,
although
use
of
graphic
characters
gives
strange
results.
