Duplex

A computer in full duplex mode will
"echo" back to
the
sender's
screen all
signals
it receives. This checks infor-
mation against loss or alteration. It is similar to speaking to
someone who repeats every word you
say.
The half duplex mode of operation does not "echo". It is similar
to normal conversation between two people.
