With Intelligent Manageability, Compaq responds to customers’ need for easy-to-manage
computers in stand-alone and networked environments. Compaq addresses this need by focusing
on five primary customer concerns:
• Asset Management—provides the user with detailed configuration information about the
computer and allows the system administrator to inventory and track computers and their
components from one central location.
• Fault Management—provides the user and system administrator with pre-failure and other
alerts. Pre-failure alerts generate advance warning to minimize downtime and data loss from
hardware failures.
• Security Management—prevents unauthorized access to critical data and valuable computer
components.

The Armada M300 computer features the ATI Rage Pro video chipset. The E500 and M700
computers feature the ATI Mobility-P video chipset. Software drivers enable all functionality of
the chipset. Driver support is complemented by a display utility that provides easy access to video
settings through the Windows Control Panel.
