On selected desktop and notebook models, an Altiris management
agent is included as part of the factory loaded image. This agent
enables communication with the Altiris Development Solution which
can be used to complete new hardware deployment or personality
migration to a new operating system using easy-to-follow wizards.
Altiris solutions provide easy-to-use software distribution
capabilities. When used in conjunction with System Software
Manager, or HP Client Manager Software, administrators can also
update ROM BIOS and device driver software from a central console.
