Overview

The Heat Sense Foot Spa by Body Benefits is designed to provide a relaxing and invigorating massage experience for tired feet, helping to relieve, comfort, and stimulate minor muscular aches and pains. This device combines water, bubbles, and heat to create a soothing spa environment in the comfort of your home.

Function Description

The primary function of the Heat Sense Foot Spa is to deliver a comprehensive foot massage experience. It features Heat Sense Technology in its base for fast, efficient water heating, ensuring a consistent and warming massage. Aeration jets release millions of bubbles, creating an invigorating massage that helps to relax and rejuvenate the feet. The foot spa also includes massage tips on its base, designed to stimulate the soles of the feet for enhanced comfort. An extra-deep design allows for full immersion of both feet, maximizing the therapeutic benefits. The device is operated via an easy toe-touch control, simplifying its use.

Usage Features

To use the foot spa, first ensure it is unplugged and in the OFF position. Place the unit on a hard, flat surface and fill it with warm or cold water up to the MAX level indicator. It's important not to overfill or pour water over the control panel. Warm water will heat up faster than cold water. Once filled, plug the foot spa into a wall outlet, ensuring your feet are not in the water during this step. Never plug or unplug the unit while your feet are submerged.

The heat setting will warm the water to a comfortable spa temperature within minutes and maintain this temperature throughout the recommended usage time. Always test the water temperature before submerging your feet. Sit comfortably in a chair and place your feet in the water, taking care never to stand in the foot spa. Push the button to start the massage. For an additional massage, you can slide your feet over the rollers and massage nodes located on the base of the foot spa.

The foot spa is equipped with a convenient splash guard at the front of the unit. This feature prevents water from splashing over the sides and also serves as a comfortable place to rest your feet once your massage is complete.

Generally, the foot spa should not be used for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. Treatment can be applied once or twice daily as desired, but users should adjust the massage time to suit their personal needs and comfort. If any concerns regarding treatment arise, it is recommended to consult a physician.

It is crucial to always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after use and before cleaning.

Maintenance Features

This appliance is designed for household use only. After each use, push the button to the OFF position and disconnect the unit from the outlet before emptying the water. Water should be emptied from the side opposite the controls and the power cord. Do not pour water over the control panel.

For cleaning, ensure the foot spa is unplugged and has cooled down. Wipe the unit down with a soft, damp cloth using only soap and water. Avoid using strong chemical cleaners. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces with a dry cloth.

The unit does not contain any user-serviceable parts. To store the appliance, unplug it from the outlet and place it in its original box or a clean, dry place. To prevent breakage, avoid wrapping the power cord around the unit or hanging the unit by the cord.

Important Safety Considerations for Usage and Maintenance:

  • Always unplug the unit when not in use, and when filling, emptying, cleaning, or moving, as all appliances are electrically live even when switched off.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water; unplug immediately.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person. • Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in the instruction booklet.
  • Never place the unit on a soft surface or any surface where it can fall.
  • This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
  • Take care not to spill any water onto the control switch.
  • Do not add boiling or steaming water to the foot spa; use warm water suited to your preference.
  • Do not stand in the unit; always remain seated during use.
  • Do not operate under a blanket or pillow, as excessive heating can occur, leading to fire, electric shock, or injury.
  • Do not use any attachments other than those supplied with this product.
  • Never drop the appliance or insert any object into an opening, except feet.
  • Never fall asleep or use while sleeping.
  • Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
  • Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • If the appliance is damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact your dealer for instructions on return or exchange. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
  • Never twist or pull on the power cord.
  • Always ensure that the voltage used corresponds to the voltage marked on the unit.
  • For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Consult your installer for advice.
  • Use heated surfaces carefully, as they may cause serious burns. Do not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. Unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
  • Temperatures sufficiently high to cause burns may occur regardless of the control setting. Do not use on an infant or invalid person, or on a sleeping or unconscious person. Do not use on insensitive skin or on a person with poor blood circulation. Frequently check the skin in contact with the heated area to reduce the risk of blistering.
  • It is not recommended to add bubble bath or oil, as this can cause blockages in the pump and bubble strips, leading to inefficient operation.
  • This appliance should not be used in cases of tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors, hemorrhages, inflammations of the skin, phlebitis and thrombosis, open and fresh wounds, bruises, broken skin or varicose veins, undetermined calf pain, or joint pain.
  • If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period, discontinue use and consult your doctor, as persistent pain could indicate a more serious condition.
  • Do not use on any unexplained pain, swollen muscles, or following a serious muscular injury without consulting your doctor.
  • Consult your doctor if you have any questions regarding the therapeutic use of this foot spa.
  • If water is below the MIN level indicator, discontinue use immediately and fill water to the MAX level indicator. Never overfill.
  • If water is emptied contrary to instructions, a small amount of water may issue from the drain hole. This is normal, as it is a safety measure to prevent water ingress. Wipe the floor with a dry cloth after use to avoid damage.
