Overview

The CONFYCARE EL03EM3 is an Equal All Electrical Treatment Table designed for use in medical and therapeutic settings. This user guide provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and handling of the device.

Function Description

The EL03EM3 is an electrically operated treatment table, allowing for easy adjustment of various sections to accommodate patients and facilitate different treatment modalities. Its primary function is to provide a stable and adjustable surface for patient examinations, treatments, and therapies. The table features an electrical lifting mechanism for height adjustment and separate electrical controls for adjusting the angles of the headrest and leg sections. This allows practitioners to position patients comfortably and ergonomically for a wide range of procedures. The design emphasizes ease of use for the operator while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Usage Features

The EL03EM3 treatment table is equipped with several features to enhance its usability and adaptability in a clinical environment.

Movement and Adjustment: The table's bottom frame is fitted with four casters, enabling easy movement within the treatment area. Before moving, the head of the bed should be empty, and the casters at the head and rear of the bed should be active. After repositioning, it is crucial to ensure the two adjusting feet are in full contact with the ground for stability; otherwise, they should be rotated for adjustment. The table's height can be adjusted using a foot switch, which also controls the angle of the headrest and leg section. The foot switch has distinct buttons for lifting/lowering the table and for adjusting the angles of the head and leg sections. When the desired height or angle is reached, releasing the button automatically locks the table surface in place.

Safety in Operation: During any adjustment, it is imperative to ensure no objects are in the space under the table to prevent collisions or entrapment. The table should be placed at its lowest level when unattended to minimize the risk of injury if a patient falls. Users are advised to operate the table with both hands when adjusting the leaning angles of the back, foot, or head sections. It is not recommended to adjust the table's angle while a patient is on it. Before connecting to the power supply, the integrity of the incoming line to the controller must be checked. The table has a maximum weight capacity of 250 kg, and the armrest has a safe working load of 15 kg, which should not be exceeded. The table is designed for discontinuous interval operation, meaning the motor's continuous running time should not exceed 2 minutes to prevent overheating and damage.

Patient and User Interaction: Users should never place their hands or any other body part in any hole or void on the table while it is in operation. Special attention should be paid to ensure feet are not resting on the peripheral foot bar or foot control during treatment, especially when sitting near the table, to avoid entrapment. The weight distribution on the table should be considered during use, ensuring it is spread along the table rather than concentrated at the ends to maintain stability. Sitting on the head and foot sections is discouraged due to the risk of tipping and table damage.

Power and Connectivity: The table must be connected to a properly installed and grounded electrical outlet, with the local mains voltage matching the device's technical data. The power outlet should be easily accessible for quick unplugging if necessary. The power cord should be positioned properly to prevent tripping hazards. If the electrical supply cable is defective, the table should be immediately disconnected, and a dealer or specialized technician informed. The power cord should be unplugged from the mains if the table will not be used for an extended period.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the EL03EM3 treatment table.

Regular Inspections: A regular inspection, at least once a year, is recommended for the treatment table. Monthly visual inspections should be carried out to check the general conditions of the table. This includes verifying the correct adjustment of different sections, ensuring the proper functioning of the motors and their movements, checking and cleaning the gas struts, tightening screws as necessary, greasing parts with friction, and inspecting the electrical wiring and socket conditions. The wheel immobilization system should also be checked.

Cleaning and Disinfection: Before any cleaning or maintenance, the table must be disconnected from the power supply. After each use, the table should be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild antibacterial detergent; abrasive cleaners should not be used. For upholstery, a solution of warm water and a mild detergent (e.g., neutral soap) applied with a well-wrung soft cloth is recommended, followed by wiping with a clean cloth. Disinfection of upholstery and other surfaces should be done with a suitable bactericide applied to a soft cloth, never directly onto the table. Mixing disinfectants or disinfectant with soap is not advised. After cleaning and disinfecting, the upholstery should be wiped with a cloth and water only to remove any residue. Accumulation of moisture on the moving metal parts should be avoided to prevent rust. Users should carefully read the instructions and warnings of any disinfectant product before use, as the manufacturer cannot guarantee that it will not damage the upholstery.

Troubleshooting and Repairs: If any malfunction is detected or a repair is needed, the user should contact their dealer and cease using the table until it has been professionally repaired. Users are explicitly warned not to make any changes to the table. Replacement parts or labor should be provided by Coinfycare, the selling dealer, or a certified service technician. Attempting maintenance, installation, removal, or replacement procedures without disconnecting the table from the power source can lead to electrical shock and damage. Never manipulate or open any electrical part of the table; only a specialized technician should repair it.

Storage and Transport: When not in use, the packed electric multifunctional physiotherapy bed should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment free from corrosive gas. During transport, the products should be protected from sun and rain and should not be mixed with toxic, harmful, or corrosive materials. The table should not be transported over rough or outdoor surfaces, as this could damage the retractable caster system. The table should be operated, transported, and stored within specific temperature and humidity ranges.

Warranty: The product comes with a warranty: 5 years (60 months) for the structure and 3 years (36 months) for the base frame and motor, starting from the original consumer purchase date. An original sales receipt or proof of purchase may be required for warranty claims. All repairs must be performed by a Coinfycare-certified service center; any unauthorized modifications or repairs will void the warranty.
