ALIVE means that the accumulator will be charged, discharged and charged, and
finally discharged and charged again.
At every press of the function key to change the charging program you regain 3
seconds time. After these 3 seconds the setting is accepted and the selected pro-
gram will start.
Now select CYC (CYCLE) for this accumulator and wait 3 seconds until the program
starts:

Both fans are getting started and the blinking battery- symbol (shown in this instruc-
tion manual with letter „S“) indicates that this accumulator is treated.
Now press the function key: there you can see all available data of those slots where
accumulators are inserted:

„S U= 1.29V“
„00:01 I= 1.06A“
In this viewing in the first line the slot number (here slot 1), the charge program (here
CYC for Cycle) and the charge capacity C is shown. The arrow (>) at C is blinking to
show that the accumulator is charged (if the arrow is blinking at D the accumulator is
discharged).
In the second line MAN represents the manual mode (AUTO would appear at auto-
matic mode) and discharge capacity D is viewed with mAh.
In the third line the battery symbol („S“) shows the condition of the accumulator. The
voltage U (in volts V) is displayed as soon as it was measured.
At the last line time is shown in hours and minits (hh:mm) which has elapsed during
that program and the charge current I (in amperes A) is shown if measured (or
discharge current at discharging).
If charging has finished discharge will be activated and the arrow will appear in the
second line (to show that the accumulator is discharged at the moment):

You can choose one of the following ranges:
> 100 - 200 mAh
> 200 - 350 mAh
> 350 - 600 mAh
> 600 - 900 mAh
> 900 - 1200 mAh
> 1200 - 1500 mAh
> 1500 - 2200 mAh
> 2200 - ... mAh
Press the button so often until that range is shown which fits the accumulator. If the
capacity printed onto the accumulator is exact at the border of two ranges (e.g. 1500
mAh) select the lower one (here range 1200-1500 mAh).
Note that there is no guarantee for the charger (and for the accumulator, too) if you
select the wrong one. In this case you will loose your guarantee!
After selection of capacity range at manual mode or after selecting automatic mode
charge program has to be adjusted. CHARGE is the standard program:

During blinking of the arrow (>) you have 3 seconds of time to select the charging
program. Press the function key if you want to select a different one. If you don’t
press CHARGE- program is started automatically.
You can choose between:
- Charge
- Discharge
- Check
- Cycle
- Alive
CHARGE is the standard setting and means the accumulator will be charged.
DISCHARGE means the accumulator will be discharged only.
CHECK means the accumulator will be first discharged and then charged.
CYCLE means that the accumulator will be first charged, then discharged and finally
charged again.
