Overview

This document describes the Cookjoys Salad and Fruit Ice Cream Maker (QCV-326-02, 150W), a 2-in-1 appliance designed for domestic use. It functions as both a salad maker for shredding, slicing, and grating various foods, and a fruit ice cream maker for processing frozen fruits into desserts.

Function Description:

Salad Maker:

The salad maker attachment is intended for shredding, slicing, and grating normal household foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, chocolate, and hard cheeses. It is not designed for commercial use, chopping extremely hard products like nutmeg, coffee beans, or cereals, or as a meat grinder.

Fruit Ice Cream Maker:

The fruit ice cream maker attachment is exclusively for processing frozen fruits into natural fruit ice cream. Suitable fruits include banana, mango, kiwi fruit, peach, apple, strawberry, pineapple, and cantaloupe. It is not suitable for crushing ice blocks or extremely hard products.

  • Accessories (Blades):
    • Coarse Grater: Recommended for carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, radishes, peppers, hard cheeses, and chocolate.
    • Fine Grater: Recommended for carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, radishes, hard cheeses, and chocolate.
    • Thick Slicer: Recommended for carrots, zucchini, potatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, turnips, red cabbage, white cabbage, apples, or hard cheese.
    • Fine Slicer: Recommended for carrots, zucchinis, potatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, turnips, red cabbage, white cabbage, apples, or hard cheese.
    • Rough Grinder: Recommended for dry bread, hazelnut, walnut, almond, parmesan cheese, chocolate, pastries, and biscuit.
  • Assembly:
    1. Insert the feed tube slightly into the housing.
    2. Rotate the feed tube a quarter turn to the left until it engages with the housing.
    3. Select a suitable attachment (blade cone), hold its plastic edges, and insert it into the food tube. Turn the blade cone clockwise to ensure it's correctly placed on the drive shaft.
    4. Place the food pusher into the food tube.
  • Operation:
    1. Place a bowl under the opening of the attachment.
    2. Briefly press the ON\OFF Switch one or two times to ensure the attachment locks into the drive shaft.
    3. Switch on the device by holding down the ON\OFF switch.
    4. Place cut food into the feed tube.
    5. Gently press down with the food pusher.
    6. Release the ON\OFF switch once finished.
  • Safety during use: Always use the food pusher to avoid contact with moving parts and prevent injury. Never put hands or utensils into the feed tube or rotating attachment. Chop food into small pieces for easier processing.

Fruit Ice Cream Maker:

  • Structure:
    • Dispenser (1)
    • Grinder (2)
    • Chute (3)
    • Plunger (4)
    • Motor housing (5)
    • ON\OFF Switch (6)
  • Assembly:
    1. Insert the grinder into the chute, ensuring the gasket is properly placed inside the dispenser.
    2. Affix the dispenser to the chute by placing it on the front and turning counterclockwise to lock.
    3. Insert the tip of the grinder into the housing. Turn counterclockwise to lock the chute assembly in place.
    4. Insert the plunger into the chute.
  • Operation:
    1. Prepare fruits and freeze them for 5-12 hours.
    2. Remove fruits from the freezer 10-15 minutes before use.
    3. Briefly press the ON\OFF Switch one or two times to ensure the chute assembly is connected with the housing.
    4. Place a serving bowl at the base of the dispenser.
    5. Insert the fruit into the chute and press with the plunger to extract frozen dessert.
  • Safety during use: Ensure the Chute, Grinder, and Dispenser are securely locked in place before operating. Always use the plunger to avoid injury. Do not operate continuously for more than 7 minutes.

General Safety Rules (Applicable to both functions):

  • Read the manual carefully before first use.
  • Keep children and animals away from packaging materials.
  • Do not modify the appliance.
  • Check for damaged or worn parts before each use.
  • Store the appliance out of reach of children when not in use.
  • Ensure the appliance is safely set up before use.
  • Keep hair, clothing, and jewelry away from rotating parts.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
  • Use only supplied accessories.
  • Switch off and unplug the device before removing or inserting attachments.
  • Handle attachments with care, holding them by plastic ends.
  • Do not try to open the housing or introduce objects into it.
  • Do not set up the device on a hot surface or near an open flame.
  • Ensure the cord does not pass over hot or sharp-edged objects, become kinked, or trapped.
  • Set up the device on a flat, non-slip surface close to an electrical socket.
  • Never immerse the device in water or expose it to rain/moisture. If it falls into water, unplug it immediately and have it examined by an authorized service center.
  • Do not use the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor.
  • Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, can use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the hazards. Maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  • The appliance and its cord should be kept out of reach of children.
  • Position the appliance as close to the outlet as possible to prevent tripping over the cord.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, nor in a heated oven.
  • A short power supply cord is provided to reduce risks; if a longer cord is used, ensure its electrical rating is at least as great as the appliance's, and it's arranged to avoid draping over surfaces where it can be pulled or tripped over.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning (Salad Maker):

  • Clean after every use to prevent food scrap accumulation.
  • Do not immerse the device in water.
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning tools.
  • Procedure:
    1. Switch off and unplug the device.
    2. Remove the attachment, food pusher, and feed tube. Clean them in warm water and mild dish soap (dishwasher safe).
    3. Clean the housing with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

Cleaning (Fruit Ice Cream Maker):

  • Clean device attachments (chute, plunger, grinder, dispenser, and tray) completely after every use.
  • Do not wash and immerse the housing in water.
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning tools.
  • Procedure:
    1. Switch off and unplug the device.
    2. Remove the attachment, chute, plunger, grinder, dispenser, and tray. Clean them completely in warm water and mild dish soap.
    3. Wipe and clean the housing with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
    4. Hand-washing parts is advised to prolong the life of the FRUIT DESSERT MAKER.
    5. Dishwasher use is not recommended for the Base.

Disposal:

  • Do not dispose of the device with domestic waste.
  • Take the appliance to an appropriate disposal/recycling site.
  • The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of with other household wastes in the EU. It should be recycled responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources and prevent harm to the environment or human health.
