Fitting instructions for screw fitting set and titanium anode
1. Scope of application
The mounting kit permits using the screw fitting set with the titanium anode
aalltteerrnnaattiivveellyy wwiitthh tthhrreeaadd ddiiaammeetteerrss GG ¾¾"",, GG11"" oorr GG11 ¼¼""..
In this case, the
screw fitting set and the titanium anode must be assembled before use.
The thread diameter is selected in accordance with the actual conditions of
the hot-water tank.
2. Illustration
Figures 1-3 of the annex 'Mounting kit for retrofitting' show the arrange-
ment of the individual parts to be fitted.

3. Fitting
1. Slide the elastic reddish-brown sealing ring (

) over the thread bolt
M8x30 of the titanium anode so that the sealing ring rests on the
sealing disk of the titanium anode. Use only the original sealing material.
2. Fix the thread bolt inside the screw fitting: to do so, slide the annular
insulation sleeve (

) over the thread bolt with the sealing ring.
3. Push the thread bolt with the sealing ring and the insulation sleeve
through the bore in screw fitting (

) until the seal is in contact with the
screw fitting and the thread bolt is well centered.
4. Place the diode board (

) on the thread bolt in such a way that the
underside (large contact ring) lies inside the screw fitting.
NNoottee::
Top and bottom of the diode board are different: the top posses-
ses a narrow
contact ring with embedded electrical components, where-
as the bottom has a large contact ring. See illustration in the annex.
Observe the correct position.
WWaarrnniinngg::
Installing the element upside down, i.e. interchanging top and
bottom, will result in malfunctions (LED flashing red).
5. Place the galvanized nut M8 (

) on the thread bolt and tighten with a
torque wrench. Specified torque: 6 Nm.
6. When the

is used: install insulation sleeve (

7. When the
11"" oorr tthhee 11¼¼"" ssccrreeww ffiittttiinngg
is used: install tooth lock washer
with 90° flat blade connector (

) and fix with galvanized closing nut
M8 (

). For this purpose, the screw fitting must be held tight with sui
table means, e.g. in a vice. Tighten the M8 nut.
8. When the

is used: install tooth lock washer with flat
blade connector (

) and fix with galvanized flat stop nut M8 (

). The
screw fitting must be held tight with suitable means, e.g. in a vice.
Tighten the M8 nut.
