4. Slide the Viton seal (
44
) over the thread bolt of the titanium anode (
11
) and
pass the anode from the inside of the tank through the fitting bore.
5. Use the insulation sleeve M8x2 (
55
) for centering the M8 stud in the 10.5 mm
bore of the flange-type cover.
6. Fasten the titanium anode together with the diode board (
66
) and the hex nut (
77
).
NNoottee::
The screw fitting must be pressure-tight. The tightening torque is 6
Nm. Use a torque wrench.
7. Fit the Tooth lock washer with tab connector 6.3 x 0,8 mm (
88
) and fasten
with the hex nut (
99
).
8. Refit the flange-type cover on the tank.
9. Fasten the spade terminal (
1111
) at the end of the cable labelled "ground
connection tank" under the earthing screw of the tank. If the tank has no
earthing screw,

Without a perfectly conducting galvanic connection, the
CORREX
®
UP system cannot perform its function.
10. Push the other connector at the tank end of the cable (
1122
) - in this case
the receptacle 6.3x0.8 mm - on the tab terminal of the Tooth lock washer
of the anode.
11.Push the two different flat connectors (
1133
) and (
1144
) at the other end of the
connecting cable on tyhe connectors in the opening (
1155
) of the plug-in
potentiostat. Push the larger connector (6.3 x 0.8 mm) on the larger tab
and the smaller one (4.8 x 0.8 mm) on the smaller tab of the plug-in
potentiostat.
12.Plug the potentiostat (
22
) into a 230 V mains socket.
13.Fill the storage tank with water and check for leaks.
14.
RReeqquuiirreedd ffuunnccttiioonn cchheecckk::
The correct polarity must be checked by
measuring magnitude and sign of the drive potential applied with a DC-
voltmeter (e.g. digital multimeter or CorroScout
®
500); cf. chapter 9.2 (
11
).
The drive potential applied must be U > +2.3 V DC, when the tank is
connected with the negative input and the titanium anode with the positive
input of the measuring instrument.
15.Check the pilot lamp in the potentiostat housing.
NNoottee::
The CORREX
®
UP system becomes functional only after the tank has
been filled with water.
Pilot lamp (
1166
) green: mains supply established and CORREX
®
UP ready
to operate.
Pilot lamp (
1166
) off: probably no mains voltage.
Pilot lamp flashing red: malfunction of the system. In this case, the
checks described in chapter 9 must be performed.
