Never work on a hot exhaust system. Allow time for the vehicle to cool. Always wear eye protection.
Remove the two spring bolts at the catback flange connection using a 14mm socket and 12mm wrench.
Remove exhaust hangers from rubber grommets near the rear differential and rear muffler using grommet pullers.
Remove the graphite donut gasket from the factory exhaust flange upstream of the catback; it is not reused.
Attach tunnel muffler assembly to factory flange with gasket, washer, and nut, pointing outlet towards driver's side.
Insert axle pipe hanger into grommet and slide clamp over expansion, connecting it to the tunnel muffler assembly.
Connect rear muffler assembly to axle pipe and install tip assemblies, ensuring proper clearance and centering.
Adjust system for clearance and tip position, then tighten all clamps to 45ft-lb using a torque wrench.
Deeper/louder exhaust sound during cold weather start-ups is temporary and will normalize with engine temperature.
Trace smoke after initial start-up is normal, caused by burning manufacturing oil residue; do not be alarmed.
