Usage Features:
The refrigerator is designed for user convenience with several operational modes and adjustable components.
- Control Panel: Features buttons for POWER (suspend), ZONE (to select fridge or freezer compartment), TEMP. (to adjust temperature and switch between °F/°C), MODE (for Super Cool, Eco, and Super Freeze modes), and ICE (to turn icemaker on/off and reset water filter indicator).
- Temperature Control: Allows users to set specific temperatures for both the fridge and freezer compartments. Default recommended settings are 39°F (4°C) for the fridge and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer.
- Special Modes:
- Super Cool: Lowers fridge temperature to 36°F (2°C) for 3 hours to rapidly cool new groceries.
- Eco Mode: Activates energy-saving function, setting fridge to 43°F (6°C) and freezer to 1°F (-17°C).
- Super Freeze: Lowers freezer temperature to -11°F (-24°C) for 52 hours to rapidly freeze new or large loads.
- Icemaker and Water Dispenser: Provides automatic ice production and chilled water dispensing. The icemaker will not operate until the freezer reaches 15°F (-9°C) or below. Initial ice and water dispensed should be discarded to ensure purity.
- Crispers: Designed to maintain moist air for fresher fruits and vegetables.
- Full-Width Drawer: Suitable for large party trays, deli items, and beverages, but not for high-humidity vegetables.
- Adjustable Shelves: Refrigerator shelves can be adjusted to accommodate items of different heights.
- Door Bins: Removable for easy cleaning and height adjustment.
- Demo Mode: A feature for showroom display that disables cooling while keeping lights and control display active.
Maintenance Features:
Regular maintenance is crucial for the refrigerator's longevity and performance.
- General Cleaning:
- Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
- Clean dust from the top, behind, and under the refrigerator regularly.
- Wipe spills immediately.
- Remove all removable parts (shelves, bins) for cleaning.
- Use a clean sponge or soft cloth with mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners, rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or sharp instruments.
- Hand wash, rinse, and thoroughly dry all surfaces.
- Exterior Cleaning: For stainless steel exteriors, use a damp microfiber cloth and rub in the direction of the grain. For stubborn stains, use a few drops of liquid dish soap in water.
- Inside Walls Cleaning: Use a mixture of 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of warm water to remove odors.
- Water Filter Replacement:
- Replace approximately every six months, or when the water filter replacement icon illuminates, or when water dispenser output decreases.
- The manual provides detailed steps for removing the old filter and installing a new one, including purging trapped air from the system.
- It is strongly recommended to use manufacturer-authorized water filters to prevent water quality issues, leakage, and malfunction.
- Compartment LED Light Replacement: Service should be performed by a qualified technician.
- Defrosting: The refrigerator defrosts automatically. In case of frost formation due to seasonal or temperature changes, unplug the unit and wipe clean with a dry towel.
- Extended Periods of Non-Use: Unplug, clean, and leave doors open to prevent odor buildup.
- Moving: Before moving, remove all internal items, secure glass partitions and drawers with tape, and tighten leveling feet. Do not lay the appliance upside down or horizontally, and avoid excessive vibration.
- Vacation Preparation: Remove food, empty ice bucket, turn off icemaker, unplug, turn off water supply, clean, and leave doors/drawers open. Upon return, flush water lines.
