COSMO High-efficiency pump CPH 2.0 39
CPH 2.0 80/XXX
7. INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL
CONNECTION
7.1. Transport to construction site and storage
The circulation pumps must be stored in a roofed, dry, dust & vibration-free location
with preferably constant air humidity. They are delivered in original packaging, in which
they should be kept up to the time of installation. If this is not possible, inlet and outlet
couplings must be securely sealed.
The pumps must be protected from unnecessary shocks and collisions.
7.2. Installation preconditions – installation site
COSMO CPH 2.0 high-efficiency pumps may only be installed in frost-proof rooms.
o The circulation pump can be installed in the outflow or return flow pipe of
heating/air conditioning systems – arrows on the pump housing indicate the
flow direction.
o Preferably, the pump should be installed above the minimum water level of
the heating boiler, and as far away as possible from bends, angles, and
branch pipes.
o To simplify inspection and maintenance work, shut-off valves should be fitted
in the outflow and return flow pipes.
o Before installing the pump, the system must be thoroughly flushed with 80
°C hot water. Subsequently, the system must be drained completely, to
ensure that any residues or harmful substances are removed.
Markings on the packaging must be strictly observed. The pump should only be
unpacked immediately before installation.
