Overview

This document describes a Baby Walker (Model BC10229), also referred to as a Lauflernwagen (German), Trotteur pour bébé (French), Andador para Bebés (Spanish), Girello per Bambini (Italian), and Chodzik dla dziecka (Polish). It is designed for children aged 6-18 months with a maximum bearing weight of 12 kg.

Function Description

The baby walker serves multiple functions to support a child's development and provide entertainment:

  1. Height Adjustment: The walker's height can be adjusted by pressing buttons on the three supporting feet, ensuring the child's feet touch the ground comfortably. This feature allows the walker to adapt as the child grows.

  2. Conversion to Walker Toy: The upper part of the walker can be detached from the base frame and converted into a standalone walker toy. This is achieved by pressing a fixed button on the upper wheel, removing the upper wheel and its fixing parts, separating them from the three supporting legs of the base frame, and then reattaching the wheels and fixing parts to their original places on the upper section. This allows for a different mode of play and mobility.

  3. Conversion to Activity Walker: The product can transform into an activity walker. This involves pressing fixing buttons on both sides of the bottom plate to remove it. A rear wheel knob is then inserted into a mounting hole until it is stabilized on the rear wheel. This knob allows for adjustment of the rear wheel's speed: turning it counterclockwise increases speed, while turning it clockwise slows down or locks the wheel. When converting back to a baby walker, the rear wheel knob must be removed by unscrewing it completely against the arrow direction and pulling it outwards.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Applicable Age: 6-18 Months
  • Maximum Bearing Weight: 12 KG
  • Main Manufacturing Materials: Plastic, plastic coating, chemical fiber cloth, sponge.
  • Battery Requirements: The music box requires 2 AA 1.5 V batteries.
  • Fastener Torque: The recommended torque for fasteners is 3 N·m.

Usage Features

The baby walker is designed with several features to ensure safety and usability:

  • Assembly: The walker contains small parts before assembly and must be installed by adults to prevent accidental ingestion by babies. All packaging materials should be kept away from babies and children due to choking hazards. Users are advised to read all instructions carefully, follow the proper order for each step, and ensure all parts are correctly installed to avoid danger. Assembly should ideally occur near the intended use area to minimize unnecessary movement of the assembled product.
  • Stability: The product should always be placed on a flat, steady, and stable surface. No load should be placed on the walker, as this can affect its stability.
  • Height Adjustment: Before each use, ensure the height is suitable and all locking devices are engaged. If height readjustment is needed, the baby must be removed from the walker first.
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Never leave the child unattended.
    • Prevent access to stairs, steps, and uneven surfaces.
    • The child will be able to reach further and move rapidly in the walker, so potential hazards like hot liquids, electrical cables, open fires, heating, and cooking appliances should be kept out of reach.
    • Prevent collisions with glass in doors, windows, and furniture.
    • Do not use the product if any components are broken or missing.
    • The walker is intended for children who can sit up by themselves and weigh no more than 12 kg.
    • It should be used for short periods (e.g., 20 minutes) to prevent fatigue.
    • Only manufacturer-approved accessories and replacement parts should be used.
    • The baby's feet must touch the ground when using the walker. Do not put the baby inside when moving the walker.
    • The walker is not suitable for babies who cannot sit or stand on their own or walk independently.
    • The battery cover for the music box must be firmly installed to prevent children from removing batteries.
  • Music Box Operation: To play music, unscrew the self-tapping screw of the battery cover, install 2 AA 1.5 V batteries (observing correct polarity), close the cover, and press the music button.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is recommended to ensure the longevity and safety of the baby walker:

  • Fastener Inspection: Examine all fasteners every time before putting the product into use to ensure they are secure.
  • Cleaning: The walker should never be washed in water. Instead, clean it gently with a wrung-out wet towel or a brush. Live parts (electrical components) cannot be washed. Ensure that all parts are not loose or damaged after cleaning.
  • Storage: The product should be stored in a safe place.
  • Battery Care:
    • Non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged.
    • Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under adult supervision and must be removed from the toy before charging.
    • Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
    • Batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity.
    • Exhausted batteries should be removed from the toy.
    • Battery terminals should not be short-circuited.
    • Batteries should not be used as toys for children to play with to avoid danger.
