Usage Features:

  • Installation Options: Can be wall-mounted, recessed into a wall, or used as a freestanding unit.
  • Recessed Wall Installation: Requires opening a hole in a dry wall according to specified dimensions. The front tempered glass must be removed before installation. The appliance is secured into the wall using screws and existing side flanges.
  • Wall Mounted Installation: Requires removing the wall bracket from the back of the unit. The bracket is then mounted to the wall, ensuring it is level and hooks face upward. The appliance is lifted and inserted onto the bracket's hooks.
  • Freestanding Option: The heater is laid on the floor or a table, and the base is installed with six screws provided on the bottom of the fireplace.
  • Ember Bed Options: Users can choose between a carbon log set or decorative crystals for the ember bed. If using crystals, they should be cleaned with mild dish soap, rinsed, and dried thoroughly before placement.
  • Control Methods: Both the control panel and remote control offer identical functions for power, flame brightness, color flame effect, heater on/off, temperature adjustment, and timer settings.
  • Safety Features:
    • Temperature Limiting Control: Automatically turns off the heater if it reaches an unsafe temperature. To reset, unplug the power cord, turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF, wait 5 minutes, inspect vents for blockages, and then plug back in.
    • Overheating Protection: The heater fan will blow cool air for 30 seconds after the heater is turned off to prevent overheating.
    • Grounding: Heaters must be plugged directly into a properly grounded wall outlet. An adapter must be used if a 3-slot receptacle is not available, and the adapter must be properly grounded to the outlet box.
    • Combustible Materials: Keep combustible materials at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.
    • Ventilation: Do not block air intakes or exhaust openings.
    • Indoor Use Only: Not suitable for outdoor use.
    • No User-Serviceable Parts: Risk of electric shock if opened.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • General: Always turn off and unplug the heater before cleaning, maintenance, or moving.
    • Metal: Buff with a soft cloth dampened with a citrus oil-based product. Avoid brass polish or household cleaners.
    • Glass: Use a good quality glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleansers or sprays that could scratch the surface.
    • Vents: Use a vacuum or duster to remove dust and dirt. Do not rinse or get wet.
    • Exterior: Clean with a slightly damp cloth or duster.
  • Electrical and Moving Parts: Fan motors are pre-lubricated at the factory and do not require additional lubrication. Electrical components are integrated and not user-serviceable.
  • Storage: Store the heater in a clean, dry location when not in use.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the fireplace not turning on, flame not moving, log set not glowing, and remote control malfunction, along with possible causes and solutions. For electrical issues or persistent problems, it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician.
