Controls and Operation
SABBATH MODE
Sabbath mode places the unit in a state of reduced
operation specifically for the Sabbath. In Sabbath mode:
The system does not allow tub lighting, audible or
visual response from the door, Smart Grid control,
water softener regeneration messaging, diverter
valve calibration/positioning, Bluetooth pairing PIN
messaging, Service mode, or Standby Power mode.
If a leak is detected, the unit will use pressure-based
drain pump control to try to control the leak. The unit
will create error codes, but there will be no audible,
visual, or Wi-Fi indication from the unit.
Control from a smartphone is allowed.
Sabbath mode can be entered at any time except during
an active wash cycle, Showroom mode, Service mode, or
Child Lock mode. Sabbath mode and Child Lock mode
cannot both be on at the same time.
Sabbath mode remains active until it is deactivated.
Sabbath mode can be deactivated at any time.
A loss of power to the dishwasher does not change the
status of Sabbath mode, but "Reset All" forces Sabbath
mode to be exited.
ENTER SABBATH MODE
Touch and hold Quick for 10 seconds or more.
"Sabbath On" appears on the UIM.
EXIT SABBATH MODE
Touch and hold Quick for 10 seconds or more.
"Sabbath Off" appears on the UIM.
CHILD LOCK MODE
Child Lock mode allows the user to lock the control system
to prevent tampering by children or other unauthorized
individuals. In Child Lock mode:
The system monitors and controls the following
components and devices: UIM lighting, keys, LCD,
door accelerometer, audible indicator, door latch, and
tub lights. Child Lock mode allows error detection/
management and pressure-based drain pump
control.
The unit can enter Standby Power mode.
The unit can be monitored or controlled by the Sub-
Zero Group Owner's App. Entering and exiting Child
Lock mode does not change the ON/OFF status of
digital Wi-Fi connection X13.
Diverter valve movement (calibration or positioning)
never occurs.
Bluetooth pairing/PIN messaging is not allowed.
DAL or TALR requests from a Smart Grid are not
allowed.
Child Lock mode can be activated from either the UIM or
from the Sub-Zero Group Owner's App. Child Lock mode
cannot be entered from Service mode.
Child Lock mode remains active until the user deactivates
it. Child Lock mode does not use any sort of clock,
calendar, or timer feature to automatically exit.
Cycling the power to the dishwasher (or a power outage)
does not change the status of Child Lock mode, but "Reset
All" does force-exit Child Lock mode.
ENTER CHILD LOCK MODE
Touch and hold Heavy for 10 seconds or more.
"Child Lock: On" and "Locked" appear on the UIM.
EXIT CHILD LOCK MODE
Touch and hold Heavy for 10 seconds or more.
