What to do if my COZY VC201B-D Heater burner won't light?
    • G
      Grant WatsonAug 19, 2025
If your COZY Heater burner won’t light, try these steps: First, readjust the pilot flame using the adjustment on the combination control valves if the pilot flame is too large or too small. If that doesn’t work, the combination control valve may be defective and require replacement.

What to do if I smell gas from my COZY Heater?
    • S
      Stacey ReidAug 21, 2025
If you smell gas, immediately shut off the gas service and check the piping. It could be due to a chimney or flue obstruction, so cleaning the flue might help. Drafts around the heater could also be a cause, so try to eliminate them. If the smell persists, contact your gas company.

How to fix a COZY VC201B-D Heater flame that is too large?
    • S
      Sarah HammondAug 23, 2025
A flame that is too large may be due to a defective operator section of the gas valve, in which case you should replace the complete valve. It could also be caused by a burner orifice that is too large; check the orifice chart to determine the correct size for your model and elevation. Finally, a pressure regulator malfunction could be the culprit, but this must be adjusted by a qualified serviceman using proper tools and instruments.

What to do if my COZY VC201B-D burner won't turn off?
    • E
      Eric GriffinAug 26, 2025
If your COZY Heater burner won’t turn off, it could be due to a defective or sticking automatic valve; try cleaning or replacing the valve. Excessive gas pressure could also be the cause. The supply gas pressure must not exceed 1/2 psi or 14” water column. To correct this situation contact the gas company supplying the gas.

Why is my COZY VC201B-D not producing enough heat?
    • R
      rosskristinAug 27, 2025
If your COZY Heater is not producing enough heat, it might be undersized. Have the heat loss calculated and compare it to the heater output (70% of input). Your gas company or installer can supply you with this information. If the heater is undersized, replace it with a correct size unit. Also, check if the temperature dial is set too low and raise the setting. Incorrect gas supply pressure can also cause this problem, so check the gas supply pressure and regulator pressure.

Why does my COZY VC201B-D Heater have delayed ignition?
    • C
      Courtney GonzalezAug 30, 2025
Delayed ignition in your COZY Heater can occur if the pilot flame is too small. Check the pilot orifice, clean it, and increase the pilot gas flow if necessary by adjusting it at the combination control valve. Also, clean any burner ports clogged near the pilot. Low gas pressure can also cause this issue; check the gas supply pressure. If the pilot decreases in size when the main burners come on, the supply piping is inadequately sized. Consult your local gas utility or a competent installer. Eliminate any drafts around the unit and ensure the pilot lighter door is closed. A pressure regulator malfunction may also cause this, but it must be adjusted by a qualified serviceman using proper tools and instruments.

What causes pilot outage in a COZY VC201B-D?
    • O
      oconnellmatthewSep 1, 2025
If your COZY Heater has a pilot outage, clean the pilot orifice with air or solvent, but do not ream it. Make sure the pilot lighter door is closed. The automatic pilot section in the combination control valve may be defective, requiring you to replace the combination control valve. The pilot generator could also be defective, so replace it if necessary.

Why won't the pilot stay lit on my COZY Heater when I release the control knob?
    • A
      adamdoyleSep 3, 2025
If the pilot will not stay lit when the control knob is released on your COZY Heater, try the following: Readjust the pilot flame using the adjustment on the combination control valves if the pilot flame is too large or too small. If that doesn’t work, the pilot generator or the gas valve may be defective, and you may need to replace them. Also, check for loose connections at the spill switch or ECO on the gas valve and tighten them.

How to reduce too much heat from my COZY VC201B-D?
    • M
      Mr. Jamie GarciaSep 5, 2025
If your COZY Heater is producing too much heat, try lowering the setting of the temperature dial. Also, the combination control valve might be sticking open, in which case you should replace it.

Why is the flame on my COZY Heater so noisy?
    • G
      george26Sep 7, 2025
A noisy flame in your COZY Heater could be due to a noisy pilot, which can be fixed by reducing pilot gas with the adjusting screw on the combination gas. If the noise is a whistle or resonance, there might be a burr in the orifice; remove the burr or replace the orifice, but do not enlarge it. Excessive gas input can also cause a noisy flame.
