BLADE INSTALLATION
_IL WARNING:Beforebeginninginstallation,placethe
tractorona firmand levelsurface,setthe parkingbrake,
placethe PTOin thedisengaged(OFF)position,stopthe
tractor'sengineandremovetheignitionkeyto prevent
unintendedstarting.
WARNING:Cuttingbladesaresharp.Alwaysprotect
handsbywearingheavyleatherworkglovestograsp
blades.

2. Gentlyflipthedeckoverto exposeits underside.
3. Placea blockofwoodbetweenthedeckhousingbaffleand
thecuttingbladeto actasa stabilizer,then usea wrenchto
removethehexflangenutthat secureseachbladeto itsspindle
assembly.SeeFig.1-2.
IMPORTANT:The hexflangenutshavea right-handed(normal)
threadpattern.DoNOTattempttoforcethenutsintheopposite
direction.Doingsomaydamagethenut.
4. Replacethebladeswiththebladesincludedin the kit. Besureto
installeachbladewiththeside marked"Bottom"(orwitha part
numberstampedinit) facingthegroundwhenthemoweris in
theoperatingposition.
IMPORTANT:Usea torquewrenchto tighteneachbladespindle'shex
flangenuttobetween70ft-lband90 if-lb.
Removethe cuttingdeckfrombeneaththe tractorasinstructed
inyourtractor'sOperator'sManual.
