Attaching an Extension Cord (Fig. C)
WARNING: Ensure the ON/OFF switch
is not engaged to reduce the risk of starting the
applianceaccidentally.
A cord retention hook6 is incorporated into the rear of the
handle on the powerhead.
1. Near the end of the extension cord, fold the extension
cord to create aloop.
2. Feed the loop into the cord retainer housing10 as
shown in Fig.C
3. Hook the loop onto the cord retention hook6 so it rests
in the cordretainer.
4. Plug the extension cord into theunit.

2. Push the blower tube onto the power head until the tube
locks

engage the blower tube and an audible click

3. Pull on the tube to ensure it is securely inplace.
4. To remove the blower tube, squeeze both tabs

on the
side of the power head and pull the blower tube off.
OPERATION

Proper Hand Position (Fig. D)

of a suddenreaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main handle2.
WARNING: Do not operate blower
without blow tube securely in place. Never reach down
into housing through tubehole.
WARNING: Always wear safety
glasses. Wear a filter mask if the operation is dusty.
Use of rubber gloves and substantial footwear is
recommended when working outdoors. Keep long hair
and loose clothing away from openings and moving
parts. For household useonly.
WARNING: Cut Hazard. When turning
the tool off, wait 10 seconds for the fan to stop rotating
beforeremoving the blowertube.
• Always ensure the blower is switched OFF and
disconnected from the power supply when:
- You leave blowerunattended.
- Clearing ablockage.
- Checking, adjusting, cleaning or working onblower.
• Only use blower in daylight or good artificiallight.
Switching ON/OFF (Fig. A, D)
WARNING: Use both hands to grip the
product firmly when switchingon.
CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at
self orbystanders.

on the top of the main handle

• To switch the blower ON, slide the ON/OFF

forward to position1.
• To operate blower in high speed, slide the ON/OFF

switch forward to position2.
• To switch the blower off, slide the ON/OFF

switchback.
MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out
of all air vents with clean, dry air at least once a
week. To minimize the risk of eye injury, always
wear ANSI Z87.1approved eye protection when
performingthisprocedure.
WARNING: Never use solvents or other
harsh chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts
of the tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic
materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened
only with water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get
inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool into
aliquid.
