10.2.3. Monthly
The OzzyMat
®
traps sludge and dirt as small as 50 mi-
crons. It works eectively even when it appears dirty.
At some point, however, it will become saturated and
unable to pass fluid freely and should be changed. The
FL-4 multi-layer OzzyMat
®
allows you the benefit of
being able to peel layers between mat changes.
To maintain the eectiveness and per-
formance of the OzzyJuice
®
, maintain or
replace the OzzyMat
®
, once a month.
OzzyMat
®
FL-4 replacement
- Make sure the pump is not running
- Remove the false bottom from the sink
- Remove the last layer of the soiled OzzyMat
®
and set to one side of the filter support grid
- Remove a new OzzyMat
®
from its poly bag,
unfold the mat and lay it on top of the filter
support grid – white side up.
Wring any excess fluid from the old mat onto the new
OzzyMat
®
. It is important to wring used OzzyMat
®
prior to disposal
Take the old, used OzzyMat
®
and place into the poly
bag the new mat came in.
Return the false bottom to its proper position
Discard used OzzyMat
®
in accordance with your local
regulations.
10.2.4. Yearly
We suggest to perform at least an annual maintenance.
Simple perform the annual maintenance described here
below:
- Pump out the fluid into a suitable container until
the machine is drained
- Unplug the SmartWasher
®
-
Only pull out the lock pins prior to removing the sink
- Remove the sink from the base, inspect and re-
move any sludge that might have accumulated on
the bottom of the unit
- Clean the base with water to remove any debris
- Visually check the condition of the hoses, con-
nectors, etc.

If everything appears to be in a good working
condition, reassemble the sink, poor the necessary
amount of OzzyJuice
®
in the SmartWasher
®
, and
install the false bottom with the OzzyMat
®
.
- Make sure that during the re-assembly, compo-
nents (e.g. hoses, …) do not come in contact
with the heating element.
- Do not forget to put the safety pins back in place
- If you fail to maintain your SmartWasher
®
, you
may still be able to save your fluid

Add OzzyBooster
®
for an extra supply of microbes
to bring your fluid back into conformity.

If the fluid has developed an odour or is dis-
coloured, contact your local distributor.
