OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When using the kettle for the rst time boil three jugs of water, and dispose of the boiled water.
This will remove the last traces from the manufacturing process.
to avoid any danger.
The appliance may not be switched on with the aid of an external time switch, or by a sepa-
rate system with remote control.
Be careful when using the appliance outdoors.
Never use the appliance in damp or wet locations.
Thoroughly clean the appliance after use (see Cleaning and Maintenance).
Use solely the base supplied with the kettle. Never use the base for other purposes.
Remove the kettle from the base, and ll with water from the tap. Never ll the it above the
‘max’ level.
Do not switch on the appliance before you have lled it with water. Fill only with cold water.
The kettles lid must remain securely closed whilst the appliance is in use.
Never open the lid when the water is still boiling.
Use the appliance only to boil or heat water. Never use it for other liquids.
Fill the kettle with at least 0.6 litre of water.
Allow the appliance to cool to room temperature before storage.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Place the machine on a at surface.
2. Fill the kettle with the required quantity of water (at least 0.6 litres). See water-level indi-
cator.
3. Close the lid by releasing the ap on the handle.
