How to fix a Criterion Refrigerator and Freezer that are not cooling?
    • J
      Jack MartinAug 18, 2025
To address this issue with your Criterion Refrigerator, consider the following: * Ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly grounded 3-prong outlet. * If the refrigerator is in demo mode, refer to the Setting the Controls section to disable it. Demo Mode disables cooling to save energy. * Wait 30 minutes to see if the proper temperature restores after the defrost cycle completes. * If recently installed or relocated, allow up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature; if relocated, let it stand upright for 24 hours before connecting to power.

Why is my Criterion Refrigerator dispensing warm water?
    • F
      Felicia PachecoAug 27, 2025
To resolve this issue, ensure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water pipe. If it was recently installed, allow 24 hours for the water storage tank to cool completely. If the water dispenser has been used recently, the storage tank may be exhausted, holding approximately 20 to 30 oz, depending on the model. If the dispenser hasn't been used for several hours, discard the first 10 oz.

What to do if my Criterion Refrigerator is not dispensing water?
    • Y
      ycantrellAug 30, 2025
To fix this, try the following: * Connect the refrigerator to the water supply and ensure the water shutoff valve is fully open. If the issue continues, contact a plumber. * Dispense 2.5 gallons of water (flush for about 5 minutes) if the water filter was recently replaced or removed to remove trapped air and contaminants. * Press and hold the Lock button for three seconds to unlock the control panel and dispenser. * On the control panel, press the Water button to set the dispenser for water dispensing. * Ensure that all refrigerator doors are properly closed, as water will not dispense if any door is open. * Straighten or repair any kinks in the tubing connecting the refrigerator to the house supply valve to ensure proper water flow.

Why is my Criterion CFRR310WD ice maker not making enough ice?
    • T
      Timothy HowardSep 2, 2025
To address this, try the following: * Replace the water filter approximately every six months. * Connect the refrigerator to a cold water supply with adequate pressure, turning the water shutoff valve fully open. If problems persist, contact a plumber. * If you're using a reverse osmosis filtration system, be aware that it can reduce water pressure below the minimum required, causing icemaker issues. * The dispenser icemaker produces approximately 216-288 cubes in 24 hours. If demand exceeds this, production may not keep up.

Why does the ice from my Criterion Refrigerator have a bad taste?
    • B
      Bryan VillanuevaSep 4, 2025
To address this, try the following: * Install a water filter to eliminate taste and odor problems. Note that in some cases, a filter may not completely resolve the issue. * Throw away old ice and make a new supply. * Rewrap the food properly, as odors may migrate to the ice if food is not wrapped properly.

    • C
      Christina RamirezSep 9, 2025
To fix this, try the following: * Ensure the refrigerator is not operated in temperatures above 110°F. * Allowing hot food to cool to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator will reduce this effect. * Reduce the frequency and duration of door openings. * It may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. * If the temperature is too warm, adjust the control one increment at a time and wait for the temperature to stabilize. Refer to the Setting the Controls section for more information. * Wait 30 minutes and confirm the proper temperature has been restored once the defrost cycle has completed. * See the Doors will not close correctly or pop open section in Parts & Features Troubleshooting, if applicable.
