Function Description
The CROWN Refrigerator / Freezer is designed for household and domestic applications, including staff kitchen areas, farm houses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast type environments. It serves to store food items, keeping them fresh and preserved through refrigeration and freezing. The appliance features separate compartments for fresh food (refrigerator) and frozen food (freezer), each with adjustable temperature settings.

Usage Features
- Temperature Control: The appliance features a thermostat knob for adjusting temperatures in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Settings range from 1 (short-term storage) to 5 (maximum cooling position), or SF for super freeze.
- Door Open Indicator: A "Door Open" indicator (red light) illuminates when the door is open or not properly closed.
- Food Storage Guidelines:
- Raw meat and fish should be stored in suitable containers to prevent contact with or drip onto other food.
- Cooked dishes should be cooled before placing in the fridge.
- Do not place warm foods in the fridge.
- Packaged foods should be consumed before their expiry date.
- Specific recommendations are provided for storing various food types (fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy) in both compartments, including maximum storage times and preparation methods.
- Ice Tray: The freezer compartment includes an ice tray for making ice cubes.
- Repositioning the Door: The door opening direction can be changed on models with side handles or without handles by contacting an Authorized Service Centre. It is not possible if door handles are installed on the front surface.
- Transportation: The appliance should always be carried in an upright position. Movable parts should be secured during transport.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning:
- Regularly clean surfaces that come into contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
- Disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
- Do not use abrasive products, detergents, or soaps.
- Clean the interior with a solution of warm water and bicarbonate of soda, then dry thoroughly.
- Clean the condenser with a brush at least twice a year.
- Defrosting:
- Refrigerator Compartment: Defrosting occurs automatically. The evaporation tray and water drain hole should be cleaned periodically.
- Freezer Compartment: Manual defrosting is required when frost reaches 3-5 mm thickness. To accelerate defrosting, place bowls of warm water inside. After defrosting, clean the interior and reassemble all parts.
- Power Supply: Ensure the appliance is connected to a properly installed fused socket with a dedicated earth connection. Do not use multiple portable socket-outlets or power supplies.
- Service: In case of malfunction or damage, contact the nearest Authorized Service Centre. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
- Disposal: The appliance and its components should be disposed of correctly, following local regulations for waste disposal. The packaging materials are environmentally friendly and recyclable.
