Introduction to SMX Series Control Systems

SMX II System

SMX Series switch assembly with soft-touch membrane keys. Includes all programmable functions.

SMX Online Net System

Multiple SMX Online Net units linked together. Has click-type keys, two-speed blower control and optional outside temperature sensing.

The SMX Keypad Overview

Data Display

Large alphanumeric readout for setpoint, temperatures, programmed values, and error messages.

Cooling Indicator

LED lights when bypass valve operates in cooling mode.

Heating Indicator

LED lights when bypass valve operates in heating mode.

Setpoint Indicator

LED lights when setpoint is displayed. Off when temp is displayed.

SET Key Functionality

Press to display current setpoint. Used to dim data display on SMX II.

UP-DOWN Key Functions

Press to raise or lower setpoint. Scrolls through controller IDs on SMX Online.

TEMP Key Functionality

Press to display inside or outside temperature and setpoint.

The Convenience Panel Keypad

SCROLL Keys

Press left or right to scroll controller IDs of systems in the network.

REMOTE Key

Selects remote control mode for network units.

LOCAL Key

Selects local display mode, returns to local operation.

OFF Key

Turns off all SMX units on the network.

DAY Key

Selects the daytime operating mode for network units.

NIGHT Key

Selects the nighttime operating mode for network units.

ABSENT Key

Selects the absent mode for network units.
