The
MODE
switch
determines
how
the
Shaper
will
respond
to
gates:
'
FREE
causes
the
shaper
to
act
like
a
free-running
low
frequency
oscillator.
The
output
in
th
is
case
is
symmet
r ical
around
zero
volts,
like

This
lets

pitch

(Pitch

KBD
HOLD
al
lows
the
shaper
output
to
remain
at
zero
until
a gate goes on.
When gated,
the
output
rises and
holds
at
a
maximum
level
as
long
as
the
gate
is
on.
The
rise
time
is
a f

of
the
interaction
of
RATE

SHAPE
controls;
that
is:
"How

do
I go, and at

slope?"
I n
RESET
the
Shaper
output.
goes
through
a single
cycle
of
rise and
fall
(no

starting
at
zero.
Each
time
the
gate
is
reset,
the
shaper
output
is
clamped
to
zero, and starts again.
(Note:

a

RUN
is
an
"uncond

tional"
mode;
the
rising segment
of
a single

is
always
100%
completed
whel1 a gate
is
applied.
Subsequent gates

not
